Convergence

August 21, 2026

The convergence indicator is a feature reserved for Premium subscribers.

It’s an additional analysis signal, shown only on certain analyses that have reached the maximum confidence level (6).

Its purpose is to highlight a subset of predictions that has historically achieved better results when several independent artificial intelligence models reach similar conclusions.

What is convergence?

SignalTurf relies on several artificial intelligence models built using different approaches.

Each model analyzes a race independently before their results are used to produce the predictions shown in the app.

In some races, these models naturally arrive at very similar analyses.

When this convergence is significant enough, SignalTurf displays a convergence badge.

Why a convergence indicator?

Analyses showing a confidence level of 6 already carry the highest probabilities of success offered by SignalTurf.

However, analysis of historical performance shows that a subset of these predictions generally achieves better results when several independent models converge on the same conclusions.

The convergence indicator was designed to highlight these situations.

It isn’t a second confidence level, but a complementary signal used to identify certain analyses that have historically shown the best success rates.

Why only at confidence level 6?

SignalTurf doesn’t display convergence at other confidence levels.

Analysis of historical performance shows that, for confidence levels below 6, convergence doesn’t provide a sufficiently significant additional signal.

However, when applied to analyses that have already reached the maximum confidence level, it helps identify a subset of predictions that generally shows better results.

The indicator is therefore deliberately reserved for these situations, in order to only highlight information that adds real interpretive value.

What does the badge mean?

The presence of the badge indicates that two conditions are met:

  • the prediction reached confidence level 6;
  • several independent artificial intelligence models converge on a similar analysis.

The badge thus highlights a prediction belonging to a category that has historically shown better results than the rest of the level-6 predictions.

What if there’s no badge?

The absence of the badge doesn’t mean a prediction is of poor quality.

It simply means that the conditions required to display this additional signal haven’t been met.

A prediction showing a confidence level of 6 remains an analysis with maximum confidence, even without the convergence indicator.

How to use this indicator

The convergence indicator is designed to complement your reading of a race.

When a badge is present, it highlights an analysis that combines:

  • a maximum confidence level (6);
  • convergence between several independent artificial intelligence models.

It therefore provides additional information to help identify certain analyses that have historically achieved the best results.

Like the confidence level, convergence is an indicator meant to help with interpretation and never constitutes a guarantee of results.

Continuously improving

The artificial intelligence models, as well as the criteria used to detect convergence, evolve regularly.

They’re adjusted based on observed performance so that this indicator continues to highlight situations where it provides genuinely measurable interpretive value.

The convergence indicator complements the confidence level by providing an additional signal on certain analyses.
