Analysis updates

August 21, 2026

A horse race isn’t set in stone until it starts.

Throughout the day, certain information can change and affect the context in which a race is analyzed. To make sure predictions always reflect the latest available information, SignalTurf can automatically update its analyses before a race starts.

This approach ensures an analysis based on the most recent state of the race, with no action required on your part.

Why can an analysis change?

The artificial intelligence models analyze each race based on the information available at the time of calculation.

If that information changes, it’s sometimes better to recalculate the analysis rather than keep a prediction that has become partially outdated.

The goal is simple: publish an analysis that best matches the actual situation just before the race starts.

What changes can be taken into account?

Several events can trigger an update to the analysis.

For example:

  • a horse being declared a non-runner.
  • a change to the race’s official information.
  • new data becoming available to the models.

Not every change leads to a new analysis. SignalTurf only recalculates when the available information is likely to affect the results produced by the models.

What can an update change?

When a new analysis is carried out, several elements can change.

Depending on the race, an update may result in:

  • a change to the selected horses.
  • a change to the confidence level.
  • a change to the indicators associated with the race.

Conversely, it’s also possible for a new analysis to confirm the previous results exactly.

A fully automatic update

Updates are carried out automatically by SignalTurf.

Premium subscribers automatically benefit from these updates throughout the day, while the free version offers updates at a less frequent rate.

You don’t need to take any particular action: when new analyses are published, they simply replace the previous ones in the app.

This means you’re always viewing the most recent version available.

Why don’t some analyses ever change?

Not every race requires an update.

If the available information stays the same, or if new elements have no significant impact on the analysis, the predictions remain unchanged.

The absence of a change is therefore perfectly normal and simply means the models keep reaching the same conclusions.

Until when can analyses change?

Updates can happen right up until a race starts.

Once the race is underway, the analysis is locked and no longer changes.

Performance statistics are then updated after the official results are published.

Why this approach?

SignalTurf prioritizes the quality of the analysis over its stability.

Keeping an outdated prediction just to avoid change would go against the app’s purpose.

By recalculating analyses when necessary, SignalTurf aims to present information that’s as relevant as possible at the time it’s viewed.
